Product Details
- The 2.5†triangular prism is perfect for travel. Its small design can fit in your pocket and be taken anywhere easily to show light refraction. Triangular prisms are considered a dispersive prism, meaning they are used to disperse, or break up, light into its spectrum of colors otherwise known as the colors of the rainbow. This works because different wavelengths of light will travel at different speeds, so the light will disperse into the colors of the visible spectrum. The longer wavelengths, such as red, yellow, will be refracted less than the shorter wavelengths of violet or blue.
