Many reviewers noted that "Scanners" demands a thoughtful viewing approach, revealing its complexities upon a second glance. The film's pacing and exploration of profound psychological concepts keep audiences invested and thrilled throughout. With strong performances, particularly from Michael Ironside, and a captivating storyline, "Scanners" stands out as a classic of 80s cinema. Viewers have commended this Criterion edition for its superior picture quality, which enhances the film's already striking visual aesthetic.
