NOT JUST A PATCH Accessories Editorial Review
The X-Patch CGM Sensor Patches present a mixed bag of user experiences, with opinions largely divided between praise for their design and effectiveness, and criticism regarding their durability and adhesive quality. Many users appreciate the ease of application and the fun colors available, highlighting that these patches are a significant improvement over conventional over-patches. Reviewers who are new to CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) find the X-shape design intuitive and less restrictive, particularly valuing that the patches allow for better movement without compromising the Bluetooth connection with their devices. However, a Considerable portion of feedback indicates dissatisfaction with the patches' longevity. Customers report that the patches tend to peel off after a few days, often falling short of the promised lifespan of 10 to 14 days. For many, this results in using multiple patches over what should be a single sensor’s usage period, making it an expensive endeavor. Some users also experienced skin reactions to the adhesive, leading to rashes and discomfort, which further diminished their willingness to repurchase. Overall, while the concept of the X-Patch is met with enthusiasm, actual performance seems to wane, especially concerning adhesive reliability. **
