The Learning Resources Botley 2.0 is a coding robot that offers great potential for children to learn and have fun. It's a great concept, and the little robot appears to be robust and works well. Suitable for ages 6 and above, it presents no steep initial learning curve, meaning there's potential for learning to develop through increasingly complex programming and exploring the other features like 'line-following'. The possibilities for fun and learning can develop further with collaborative involvement. However, some customers offered mixed reactions. For instance, one customer complained of limited functionality overall, and one of the main functions (follow a black line) just doesn't work, while some others claimed the remote control failed on Christmas Day. Another reviewer stated that it cannot go straight due to a wonky wheel, and it can only go around in circles. Additionally, some customers felt disappointed that the robot doesn't have a 'free control' setting that allows playing with it like a remote control car. Overall, the Learning Resources LER2941 Botley 2.0 is a fun and engaging coding robot, making learning a lot easier and enjoyable for children, but there may be occasional shortcomings that may put customers off.
